Path Planner
& Jargon Slayer
I'm a content strategist who speaks fluent human.
With roots in journalism and technical writing, I turn complex ideas into crisp, compelling content that makes benefits shine and gets people to act. I cut the fluff, map the path, and make sure every word pulls its weight so users stay on track.
What I Do
For 15 years, I’ve led global web projects, mentored teams, and helped B2B marketing orgs stop talking to themselves and start connecting with people.
Sometimes that means big-picture strategy: user journeys, IA, SEO, and the kind of structural planning that gives a website its bones. Other times, it’s untangling clunky copy, cutting through jargon, and bringing content down to earth so it’s easy to digest. And sometimes it’s rolling up my sleeves to fix a broken redirect that’s quietly tanking conversions.
Lessons I’ve Learned
Clear beats clever. Every time.
I’ll cut that witty phrase if it’s in the way. My pain is the user's gain.Balance effort with impact.
Just because I can do it doesn’t mean I should.Data isn’t scary.
It’s a lens that helps me find where I can make the most impact.Write for people first.
Search engines reward content that people like and use.Keep it simple.
If users need a decoder ring to navigate your site, you’ve already lost them.
My Journey So Far
Most recently, I led web strategy for a growing SaaS business through multiple rebrands, acquisitions, leadership changes, and a $1B ARR milestone. The team I led kept site performance steady and growing through it all.
Before that, I shaped web and interactive content for 3D printing and fintech businesses, focusing on product storytelling and SEO strategy.
The Path Ahead
Now I’m looking for work with bigger meaning in education, charitable nonprofit, or responsible tech. I want to keep working with sharp people to make a real impact. I can lead or follow, and I’m not afraid to dig in. I ask the hard questions—and sometimes the obvious ones—to find the words and structure that help messages ring clear.
I’m eager to join a team that knows good content isn’t about us. It’s about the people we want to reach: the ones scanning on their phones, juggling a hundred tabs, just trying to get an answer and get on with their day. It’s not about hammering a message. It’s about meeting people where they are and creating a positive interaction that earns a click, a repeat visit, or a form fill. Help them meet their goal, and they’ll help us meet ours.
If that’s your team’s philosophy, I’d love to talk.
